ProTechs is a private crew-operations app for technical staff. Accounts are created by the company running it; there is no public sign-up.
The app stores only work-related information needed to run technical operations: your name and work email, the ship you are assigned to, show reports, equipment requests, crew evaluations, chat messages, and any documents or photos you submit. If you choose to share your location in a chat message (for example to coordinate a handover), that location is stored and shown to the people in that conversation. We do not track your location in the background, and we do not collect contacts, advertising identifiers, or analytics for advertising.
This information is used solely to coordinate technical operations between crew and the office. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.
Data is stored on the company’s secure server and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is limited to authorised company staff.
With your permission, the app may send push notifications about new reports or requests. You can turn these off in your device settings.
